Bladelets

Long, narrow, thin, parallel-sided flakes of flint struck off specially-prepared cores or small blocks of flint

Upper, usually convex, surface of bladelet shows scars of previously-removed flakes

Most made from high-quality, colorful Flint Ridge flint

Sharp edges make excellent cutting tools

Size: Complete specimens generally ¾ to 2 inches long; often found broken

Hopewell: ca. 100 BC- AD 500
